a vote for you

hello people.

voting time for our parliament elections is approaching and there is a lot of thinking about things, people and situations.

i had a personal epiphany about voting moment the other day; vote and wish at the same time, with all my heart, the best for my people; wish with the same passion and faith i wish the best for myself when i blow my candle on my birthday cake.

love and see you soon.

i’m happy to invite you to the photography exhibition i created and curated for tripokaridos bar. this is a collection of photos i took whilst outdoors, during my travels but also indoors, at home. all photos are for sale, so if you drop by and like something, feel free to contact me at [email protected] or ask for sweet owner, melina.

i guess, that’s it for this week as i’m quite busy with this and that, and some new projects.

wishing you all happy easter. see you soon.

spring is almost here. and there. and everywhere.

we did a mini photoshooting of my jewellery this morning with lovely v. we had a good laugh but we managed to do some work, too. that was also a rehearsal for my next photo project in march.

i’m also thinking of hiring my mum as production assistant. she is damn good!

in the photo above, an idea of my jewellery making style. nothing big or fancy. as there is a lot of moving around in my life, i really need jewellery that don’t take up a lot of space in my bag and are simple, light, stylish and, of course, match all my wardrobe pieces. generally, i’m into simple, basic and neutral design.

well, the other thing is that i love to create; either making photos, designing a book, sewing bags, making jewellery or just wrapping something beautifully to offer. there is so much surprise, excitement, relaxation and also happiness in the creating process. making something with your own hands is a sort of psychotherapy.

if you feel you need to let some steam off, you should definitely try to create something. anything. and you shouldn’t let the fact that you haven’t got any knowledge or technique put you off; there is so much help online and in books. and there is certainly a lot of beauty in the amateur making.

i’ll be offering a small selection of my jewellery pieces in my shop very soon.

thanks for visiting this blog.

c ya.

when time stands still

on our way up to the mountains today we came across these two shepherds sitting by the side of the road.

i asked if i could take a picture of them and they both concurred. however, they wanted to know where they could see their photo. at that moment, explaining to them about my blog seemed silly and pointless so i just replied that i would go back to give them the photo. so, i am going back again one of these days.

more photos of our trip to share with you shortly.

love. me.
