hello. i’m in athens for the days visiting some arts and crafts people for the new website i’m working on.
i’ve also had some of my photos printed by a lovely lady i’m excited to do business with. i think printing is another whole special and very important part of photography i’m learning about at the moment.
in the second photo, our local summer cinema is getting ready to open its doors. summer is officially round the corner.
see you!

i’m very shy when it comes to shoot portraits. i’m not the person who will talk people into having their portrait taken {i’m actually the person who can’t talk anyone into anything, i find it extremely boring} but the above was an easy peasy one. i asked to take photos of the lollipops but i saw this guy standing there, at the end of his stall, half posing half talking to his friend. so, i snapped his photo.
my weekend was a beautiful one. my moments of constructive solitude mean the world to me.
i listened to this song on tv and can’t take it out of my mind.
so, happy april. enjoy week.

it’s still cold here but somehow i like it. i’ll always enjoy some chilly breeze in the morning. spring is round the corner, though.
browsing my archives of last year i rediscovered this young couple photos i took at the acropolis museum in athens. their ways were so calm and easy, tender and sweet.
i so love brian’s photography. check his freunde von freunden project here.

hello.
i’m trying to change my sleeping pattern these days. as a result i’m suffering from tiredness and terrible headaches. also, bad temper.
i took a taxi the other day and the taxi driver was a sweet old guy who was very firm about not wanting to change his ways and become german. he was stressing that he would never give up going to kafeneio, having ouzo and meze with his friends. that he would never go to bed at 9 o’ clock. that we, young greeks, have become totally westernised {he sees it in his own children}.
that was a very funny and sweet encounter.
photos taken on a very cloudy day, on my way to my sister’s place.
i have something for symmetry so when i saw carl kleiner’s work i immediately got related.
i want to travel to north america. also, meet this guy. one day.
me.

morning friends.
i was deeping into my photo files for an upcoming project et voilà, this picture popped out.
it’s taken last march when tieu was here, one day while walking downtown athens.
the roses had tiny shiny drops on them that made them look like fake. but, to my surprise, they were real, sprayed with some kind of sparkling liquid.
don’t know but i’m missing travelling abroad. need to see and experience new things and be inspired.
for the time, i’m touring the world through other people’s photography.
love.
