i am not a football fan but it was great to hear that local football club joined the super league. i couldn’t but just think how happy my brother would have been with this news.
last night was cinema night. i watched the illusionist again. it’s always good to view this bittersweet nostalgic animation.
magicians don’t exist, however i find it quite hard to live without magic. any real magicians around?
a friend put together something nice to listen to.
have a nice week!

i so wish i had lived in the 60s. i love everything about that era; decoration, fashion, cinema, lifestyle. people’s natural elegance. the social revolution against the past and rigid norms.
the video above is from a greek film, typical of that decade. it pictures my favourite greek actress of that period, in the loveliest dress and shoes, with the greatest bob.
what i love the most though, is her relaxed and unpretentious performing.

paris je t’ aime soundrack to listen here for free.
i went to the cinema last night and i watched black swan. the film is about the mysterious and obscure paths of human mind; about dreams, expectations and how far we are willing to push ourselves to achieve them. it’s a dark, sharp film that managed to carry me away and sink me into the main character’s psyche.
it definitely awakened my senses and on my way home i found myself pirouetting and jumping over water puddles.
just excellent!

last night i watched this beautiful film. it’ s about the true love of an iranian boy for an afgan girl. photography is just amazing. today, i also watched another love film (this period is all about love films; i hope it’s nothing too serious). it’s called last change harvey; dustin hoffman and emma thompson starring.
some notes here; first, i think i prefer emma thompson brunette. i did some research on her hair colour and i laughed when i read this. second, girl is taller than boy. i love the match though! third, bride and groom don’t know how to dance. at least, actors should have taken some dance classes before filming.
however, this film managed to make me cry. it’s not super romantic or corny but it somehow touched me! how many chances do we have to get happy in life?
having said that, i think this habitat chair would make me really happy at the moment. also, this beautiful scarf. don’t you think?

sometimes i think everything is a matter of focus.
last night i decided that i had enough of heavy, sophisticated films and i watched the wedding planner. i admit it; i had a good time watching it and both jennifer lopez and matthew mcconaughey were too cute.
speaking of focus, i like the part when he says to her “i might not know anything about you but i do know every line on your face…”. do we really need more?
dries van noten’s summer 2010 collection has become of my favourites. i especially adore this outfit.
