hello! time is 5.30 in the morning and i have a bit of a trouble sleeping. i ‘ve counted numerous happy sheep, cats, dogs and other domestic animals but nothing can’t do the trick.
the truth is that friend is going back to london this afternoon and i got the blues. we had a wonderful time together; watched total 11 films, had lovely time coffeeing {new word} which mainly included endless chatting, a bit of gossiping and some smoking.
we explored athens downtown, walked miles and miles, danced in madonna and 80′s rhythm, attended a fun drag queen show, and had alcohol that will keep us going for at least a year or more.
last night, we decided to drink to our friendship and celebrate the end of our one-week holiday at our favourite jazz in jazz. photos from our secret gem.
the thing that troubles me at the moment is how we say goodbye; after the numerous farewells i have said in my life and all the people i have parted from, for short, long periods or forever, either because it was my decision or not, i should have actually become an expert; even write the ultimate manual on the art of farewell.
i think saying goodbye to a loved one is the only thing that will always cause me a sort of pain inside, emotional one but very similar to the qualities and reactions of a physical one. new thing is that i am learning to live with it and accept it as part of life.
hopefully, i ‘ll see tieu in two months time back in london. and maybe, i won’t need to say goodbye to her again.

friend and i are enjoying our time together. so much to talk about, so many things to do and see. also, people to meet.
photos above are from places we have already visited. tieu loves booze; the frothy latte and the arty atmosphere.
i am loving our long walks to plaka through the national garden.
we have been meeting friends but also some new people. leather keyring was given to me as a gift by antonis. i love all his handcrafts and his beautiful shop in psirri.
i am in love with my new leather business card holder, made by him. to be honest, taking photographs has become so much easier since i have been able to hand out my new business card to people; they feel more relaxed when i ask to take photos of their spaces. they even pose for me.
i also have some great news; sister has been offered two jobs and she is been studying her roles like crazy.
it makes me extremely happy to see her doing what she loves the most. i wish her all the luck of the world.
