a vote for you

hello people.

voting time for our parliament elections is approaching and there is a lot of thinking about things, people and situations.

i had a personal epiphany about voting moment the other day; vote and wish at the same time, with all my heart, the best for my people; wish with the same passion and faith i wish the best for myself when i blow my candle on my birthday cake.

love and see you soon.

moving closer

spring is almost here. and there. and everywhere.

we did a mini photoshooting of my jewellery this morning with lovely v. we had a good laugh but we managed to do some work, too. that was also a rehearsal for my next photo project in march.

i’m also thinking of hiring my mum as production assistant. she is damn good!

in the photo above, an idea of my jewellery making style. nothing big or fancy. as there is a lot of moving around in my life, i really need jewellery that don’t take up a lot of space in my bag and are simple, light, stylish and, of course, match all my wardrobe pieces. generally, i’m into simple, basic and neutral design.

well, the other thing is that i love to create; either making photos, designing a book, sewing bags, making jewellery or just wrapping something beautifully to offer. there is so much surprise, excitement, relaxation and also happiness in the creating process. making something with your own hands is a sort of psychotherapy.

if you feel you need to let some steam off, you should definitely try to create something. anything. and you shouldn’t let the fact that you haven’t got any knowledge or technique put you off; there is so much help online and in books. and there is certainly a lot of beauty in the amateur making.

i’ll be offering a small selection of my jewellery pieces in my shop very soon.

thanks for visiting this blog.

c ya.

some rainy days

hello people.

hope you are all well. weather here has been very gloomy and rainy. i quite enjoy it, though.

i am now connected to the internet at the studio which makes my life a lot easier.

photos above were taken this morning. my two companions pictured are a succulent and a ficus benjamin.

also, the large print in the middle of my wall collage belongs to the photographer stavros makris.

i saw this post and it reminded me of our picnic in the grove last march. photos here and here.

mykita makes some beautiful frames and photos. i have a few postcards of their summer collection campaign, found here.

love. me.

hello people.

new year is here and so do i.

it’s been long time since i last had this but i don’t feel like blogging these days.

i’m actually enjoying some calm days at my studio in hometown, planning my moves for 2012.

moreover, a trip for photography work is ahead and i’m getting ready for it. i’ll share more in the near future.

for the time, goodbye.

run office!

konichiwa people!

lately i feel like running. just like tom hanks in forrest gump. but, as my physical condition is not at its best, running after 10 min turns into jogging, walking and then crawling. still, it’s kind of liberating.

above some photos of my office in hometown; we {meaning mum and myself} just finished renovating it. it took us almost a whole year to do it up. yet, one year is always better than two or more years.

anyways, got to go now. took these photos today and i wanted to share them with you as tomorrow i ‘m off to the island and then back to athens.

enjoy thursday. love.

p.s. seize the day, every f* day.
