today i was hoping to feel a bit better but the truth is i feel worse than the days before. my bed and i have developed a relationship of love and hate; i can’ t stand it anymore {and i believe nor can it} but it’ s impossible for me to survive somewhere else, for the moment, than under my duvet.
however, i can’t complain too much cause i have my mum to take care of me plus i have some wonderful company; siddhartha by hermann hesse, hello sandwich gift wrapping zine and my online friends. not to mention my camera.
my homeopath recommended some water-soluble echinacea tablets; i hope they do the trick cause i feel it’s been too long for a simple cold.
other than that, i am teaching myself japanese using some online resources and human japanese method. i ordered the software on amazon and i am looking forward to receiving it. did you know that the japanese alphabet characters do not represent single letters like our latin based alphabet but entire syllables? i am so interested in the history of written japanese which is actually a twisted continuation of the chinese alphabet.
time for my soup.
c ya!

lately, i have been thinking how i could make chamomile tea a bit more flavorsome. after a bit of research on the internet, i discovered a black tea with saffron recipe, which i altered and adapted to my herbal tea needs.
i put one full teaspoon of chamomile in my ikea glass teapot and i added boiled water. i let it sit for a bit and then i strained it. i poured some of the tea in my mug and i added 2 threads of saffron and a teaspoon of honey. delicious!
you can find saffron in your local organic food shop but i guess in supermarkets, too.
in the last photo is my favourite pair of suede leather shoes with gray shoe laces from occhi. i match it with my granit canvas bag.
yesterday, i went through the books on my bookshelf and i re-discovered this very interesting book written by jules pretty, professor of environment and society at the university of essex, who kindly sent it to me some years ago.
there is a lot of interesting content and mentions to successful sustainable farming cases. i promise to share some in my posts to come.

i love no cookie. everything on him is so soft and cute. i remember last summer, when joe took him from the street and brought him home, i thought he was an ugly kitten. now, he has grown to become a swan.
i am still designing my new business card. it takes me long time to finalise my design. i always seem to find something wrong on it and i end up tweaking it to the extent that it becomes another card, completely different to the initial.
this afternoon i stayed home doing this and that. i used the oil burner to scent and clean my space. the essentials oils i used were lavender, tea tree and orange. lavender to relax, tea tree to purify and orange to reinvigorate. i also enjoy watching the tiny flame inside the burner. it makes me feel warm and secure.
i also prepared my herbal tea with melissa and fennel. this tea is naturally sweet and it gives a feeling of happiness and positiveness. it is also a very good digestive.
i am now going to watch a film. i haven’t decided yet which one but surely it has to be a funny one.
photo of me and mr no cookie is taken by joe.
kiss!

last sunday we met our good friend julianna with her mum at a cafe by the sea. as i am not supposed to have coffee or any tea apart from herbal, i always have a sachet of my favourite herbal tea with me. the waiter gave me a funny look when i said “a cup of hot water for me, please” when the rest of my company had ordered cappuccinos and lattes.
when the cup of hot water arrived and i dipped my sachet in, the waiter asked me what kind of tea i was having. i offered him a sniff of it. he absolutely loved it! the truth is i know nobody who wouldn’t like this tea.
the scenery was so beautifully wintry and so much inspiring. i took lots of photos which, unfortunately, i had to split in two posts so you wouldn’t get bored scrolling down.
how much do i like these photos of will davidson. just in the right mood!
colourful book art from jenni rope.
stay tuned for the part two post!
