hello.
looking forward to viewing some interesting projects and meeting new people in the athens biennale.
photos above taken yesterday during the vintage bazaar in belle epoque.
my dear old camera has become the extension of my arm. i so lose myself in colours, shapes, lights and shades. taking photos is the only thing that truly makes me happy.
have a great week.
love.

hello pals!
i saw this car parked somewhere in the centre of athens the other day and couldn’t but just snap a photo of it. this is my dream car; i so love the colour of it.
photos of the flamingos taken on my ride back from lefkada. i believe they were on the way to the south, where days are getting long and hot.
in the last photo, some view of my sister’s balcony in athens. love the sunset colour palette. it gives me so much hope.
at the moment, i’m living like wandering jew. i’ve given myself the name the compact girl with all my basics packed comfortably in a small hand luggage, making me realise that myself and my people are what i truly need. this is a lesson i’ve learned the hard way.
hope you are good. all my love to you. enjoy october!

hello hello! still in athens and in bed again with cold no 2 for this winter season and sore throat. my mum came to take care of me; she tidied up my place and cooked lunch. im so grateful to have her around.
some fantastic news; aufrais is blog of the week on katrina’s pugly pixel. katrina is a very talented and kind person; pugly pixel is a great resource for people like me who are not professional designers but they feel creative. go visit her blog. you can also find her here, here and here. i am sure you will get hooked as i did! thank you katrina!
past weekend was great. it was a pleasure to have my good friend, vaso, at home. we walked miles and we discovered great places. i showed her around, taking her to places i knew she would like – mainly design boutiques – but we also had good indian food and tasty mouthwatering pizza.
we also paid a visit to belle epoque. ioanna, a good friend and excellent interior designer, shared her new secret spot with me. and here i am, sharing it with you. photos above are from this cute place where you can find vintage clothes in excellent condition and down-to-earth prices, and a lovely travel shop. you can also enjoy herbal tea in vintage teacups in its elegant tearoom. more photos of this beautiful athenian corner to come soon!
last but not least, i decided to brush my english up by learning new idioms. so, today the expression is neck of the woods which means a surrounding or nearby region; your neck of the woods is the area you come from or where you live. {as found here and here}. hope you enjoy learning with me!

postcards are my favourite thing to collect when i visit places. these ones i got in one of my weekend trips to paris when i lived in london. i also got some beautiful vintage japanese postcards when in stockholm featuring geisha couples. those ones are to come shortly.
i also have a new logo if you noticed! it took a lot of time and work to come to the final draft of it. but i am quite happy with it and myself as i am not a pro graphic designer.
i have also recovered almost fully. today, for breakfast, i had warm milk with honey and cinnamon – which was delicious – and some fruit.
what a clever and mouth-watering idea these people have! they organise gourmet dinners at farms, gardens, mountain tops etc honouring the local farms and the food artisans and reconnecting people with the land. have a look at their blog for ideas and photos!
have a nice weekend! i ‘m off to play with my godchildren!

hello! i’ m all excited today! and it has to do with these two geishas above. they are embroidered and i discovered them in my mum’s small attic. it has also to do with the straw hat! summer is close and it’s time to redecorate my place. i’ m also doing up my balcony, planting, lighting etc. have i told you i have a bit of a view to lycabettus?
i also watched this film. for second time. it’s nice when people can appreciate you the way you are. don’t you think?
beautiful hats from seeberger. pretty home accessories from moebel kolonie.
